This is Cheddar, taken last February. I don't have any new ones handy but wanted to update with *something*! Geez, isn't he adorable?? He is now about nine months old and 100 lbs - that's a lot of puppy love! ; )
Yes, I am still checking, though I didn't all weekend. Cheddar is so adorable. Thanks for the update. Can't wait to see a recent photo of all that "puppy love".
Anything by Gunter Grass, who was a member of the Hitler youth and later was horrified at what he'd been a part of when he toured Dachau. After reading, discuss with ERB! Can also cheat and watch Tin Drum.
Anything by Joann Harris (Holy Fools; Chocolate; Five Quarters of the Orange); recommended by the Shoreland Book Club
Couldn't Keep It to Myself: Wally Lamb and the Women of York Correctional Institution (Testimonies from our Imprisoned Sisters) by Wally Lamb (recommended by Meg from Cohort 11)
Water for Elephants, recommended by the Shoreland Book Club
Wes's Dan
Books I Like
Deep Economy: The Wealth of Communities and the Durable Future by Bill McKibben
Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv - I'm reading this one now; it's about the importance of getting kids outside into nature
Look Homeward Angel by Thomas Wolfe - an all-time favorite work of fiction
